In the global build up to one of the biggest sporting events in the world, Hyundai New Zealand kicked off a local campaign in early March 2010 with the nationwide tour of two giant footballs for the ‘Hyundai Goodwill Ball Tour’.
Measuring a huge 4 meters in diameter the Goodwill Balls toured New Zealand, visiting each Hyundai dealership along the way. An event was held within each Hyundai dealership region, giving Kiwi fans an opportunity to write their messages on the Goodwill Balls of support to the New Zealand All Whites.
The Hyundai Goodwill Ball was at WMG from 24-25 March 2010. We invited soccer clubs to come and enjoy a BBQ, soccer ball handouts, colouring and competitions fo the kids.
We had the pleasure of having Aaron Scott, Che Bunce and Sarah McLaughlin here to sign soccer balls and items for the kids and show them how to kick a goal. The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ is from 11 June – 11 July in South Africa and the Goodwill Balls will be featured on the pitch before every All Whites match.
The Goodwill Ball Tour wrapped up in style in Wellington's Frank Kitts Park.
Hundreds of fans showed up to try their luck at winning $25,000 in the Hyundai Golden Boot Challenge and others guessed the number of footballs in the i30 with lucky winners taking away the $1000 New Zealand weekend escape with an i30.
Make sure you support the All Whites as they make history for New Zealand!
